HEMTEX’S NEED. Hemtex focuses on sales supported by SAP and operations at Implema. Hemtex’s decision to outsource the operation of SAP has two reasons. Firstly, a lean IT organization. Secondly, a clear strategy to focus on the core business. The choice fell on Hemtex’s SAP supplier Implema, which could match the requirements for specific SAP competence for the operation and guaranteed availability for the business-critical processes.
IMPLEMA’S SOLUTION. Today, Implema is responsible for Hemtex’s entire operating environment. In addition to SAP ERP, the operation of SAP BI, Solution Manager, and SAP Forecasting & Replenishment, as well as Hemtex’s test and development system, is outsourced.
THE RESULT. With operations outsourced, Hemtex receives, among other things, round-the-clock system monitoring. If an error occurs during the night, it is resolved when offices and stores open.
“Our primary goal was to make it as worry-free as possible, and I feel that we have achieved that today. Given that we are such a lean IT organization, outsourcing feels like a cost-effective option for us,” says Anki Jansson, IT Manager at Hemtex.
