OEM’s NEED. OEM International streamlined operations beyond expectations with the help of SAP. OEM International outgrew its business system as the business rapidly expanded in Europe, both organically and through acquisitions. Requirements for centralized logistics, increased coordination between companies, and smooth integration of acquisitions led OEM to decide to evaluate alternative business systems and invite a selection of companies to tender.

Implema’s Solution. Implema and SAP ERP were deemed to best match the selection requirements, with SAP chosen for its strong support for group structures. Implema implemented six companies in three countries during the same month and then continued the rollout to other companies. OEM simultaneously refined its warehouse processes in connection with the business system change.

RESULT. Warehouse processes have become significantly more efficient. Outbound delivery was 50% more efficient two months after implementation, and inbound delivery improved by 20%. In addition, higher quality in warehouse processes has meant significant gains for OEM.
