Press release January 29, 2025

ERP specialist Implema accelerates its growth strategy by acquiring CoreChange’s SAP and Business Intelligence operations. With this acquisition, Implema reaches a new milestone, surpassing SEK 500 million in annual revenue.

Implema and CoreChange’s SAP and BI operations had a successful 2024, both delivering strong, profitable growth and welcoming several new customers. Implema, Sweden’s leading specialist in the rapid implementation of SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, is further strengthening its market position through this acquisition.

With the deal, Implema gains over 60 highly skilled consultants specialising in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fieldglass, SAP Ariba, SAP transformation, and Business Intelligence. The consultants will join Implema’s offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö. The acquisition significantly boosts Implema’s presence in Gothenburg, expanding its customer base and more than doubling its regional delivery capacity.

”This acquisition brings exceptionally talented consultants with strong expertise in SAP and Business Intelligence, along with an exciting client portfolio. CoreChange’s products, services, and customers complement Implema’s offering perfectly. By expanding our expertise, we enhance our ability to meet our customers’ future needs and take on larger, more complex projects for a broader range of companies,” says Jörgen Aronsson, CEO and co-founder of Implema.

Erik Glasmästar, Head of Business Solutions and BI at CoreChange, is excited about joining Implema with his team:

”We see tremendous benefits for both our customers and employees. We’re becoming part of an organisation that shares our values, entrepreneurial spirit, and culture, and has extensive experience in business systems and SAP. Together, we’ll be better positioned to deliver comprehensive solutions using established methods, tools, and a strong managed services offering. The increased size and financial strength will inspire greater confidence and enable faster growth. All this will benefit our customers, giving them the security needed to entrust us with larger, more strategic projects.”

SAP also welcomes the merger:

”Implema and CoreChange are two strong SAP partners with complementary competencies and target markets. We are pleased to see Implema merging with CoreChange’s SAP operation, creating a unified SAP competency hub in Sweden with a broad range of SAP solutions,” comments Karima Grönborg Johansson, Partner Director, SAP Nordic & Baltic.

The acquisition is part of Implema’s long-term strategy, combining organic growth with strategic acquisitions. The focus is primarily on SAP and Microsoft Dynamics but extends to other digital transformation areas.

”Acquiring CoreChange’s SAP and Business Intelligence operations is an important milestone on our journey to becoming a billion-SEK company and continuing to support our customers’ digital transformation. We continue to pursue additional acquisitions in Sweden and the Nordic region to strengthen our position further,” concludes Jörgen Aronsson.
