Growth in southern Sweden continues, and Implema is now taking the next step in Malmö. Behind this development is growing demand in the region and a stronger organization following the merger with parts of CoreChange, which has added further expertise and capacity to Implema. We are now continuing to invest in developing our presence in southern Sweden. Tonny Kvant, Project Manager and Office Manager for Implema’s Malmö office, explains what is driving the development and how Implema views the continued investment.
Hello Tonny Kvant — why is Implema growing specifically in Malmö?
– Above all, because we see strong demand in the region. Skåne and the Öresund Region have a very interesting business community, with many manufacturing and international companies and organizations that are in the middle of major change. Many are facing modernization of their ERP systems, increased automation, and new opportunities with AI and data. There is a significant need for the combination of business understanding and technical expertise that we at Implema can contribute.
What are customers asking for right now?
– It’s becoming less and less about simply getting a new system, and more about what you actually want to achieve with the help of technology. How can we streamline operations? How do we get better access to — and make better use of — our data? How can AI create tangible business value? And how do we build a platform that enables us to keep evolving even after the implementation itself?
That also means our customer dialogues are becoming broader. Of course, we work with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365, but also with business development, integrations, data, analytics, and other components needed to realize real impact from the investments.
Why is a local presence important?
– We work with customers across Sweden and internationally, but proximity still matters. The best projects are built on close collaboration and on truly understanding the customer’s business, people, and challenges. Being based in Malmö makes it easier to build those relationships and, at the same time, be a natural part of the business community here in southern Sweden.
It’s also important from an employee perspective. If we’re going to keep growing, we need to be able to attract talented people who want to work closely with both customers and colleagues without having to be based in Stockholm or elsewhere in the country.
What does the new office mean for Implema’s investment in the region?
– Above all, it’s proof that the business here has grown. We simply needed an office that better reflects who we are today and gives us room to keep developing.
But we also want the office to be more than a workplace. The ambition is for it to be a meeting place where we can bring together customers, partners, and colleagues for workshops, knowledge sharing, and conversations about the issues companies are facing.
Is the ambition to keep growing in Malmö?
– Absolutely. We see Malmö and southern Sweden as an important part of Implema’s continued development. We want to grow together with both existing and new customers and continue building our capabilities locally. But for us, growth isn’t just about becoming more people. It’s about becoming even more relevant to our customers and being able to take greater responsibility for their development over time.
And now the new office will be inaugurated?
– Yes, and it feels really great! We’d love to celebrate together with customers, partners, colleagues, and other friends of Implema. For us, it’s also a way to bring together the people who, in different ways, are part of our development here in Malmö. It will be a relaxed evening with food, drinks, and hopefully many great conversations.

Implema’s new Malmö office is located at Lokgatan 8. On September 18, we’ll open the doors to customers, partners, colleagues, and friends who want to join us in celebrating the next chapter for Implema in Malmö.
