About the partnership

– Hand in Hand: An important strategic step

– For Implema, the partnership with Hand in Hand represents an important strategic step and is part of our sustainability work. This aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, which extends beyond Implema’s boundaries.

Project Her digital path is truly connected to what we do and the issues we’re passionate about – entrepreneurship and digitalization. For Implema, this feels like an exceptionally important project to support and one that’s close to our hearts for several reasons.

About Hand in Hand

Hand in Hand Sweden is an organization that fights poverty through entrepreneurship and whose efforts make a tangible difference. So far, they have helped over five million entrepreneurs.

Hand in Hand was founded in the early 90s when teachers Olle and Gunnel Blomqvist fought to eliminate child labor in India. Children were forced to work to help support their families as parents rarely had jobs. One of the main causes of persistent poverty is the lack of jobs and income. The focus therefore became creating jobs for parents through education and training so that children could attend school.

To date, Hand in Hand’s efforts have achieved the following results:

4.3 million businesses started

6.2 million jobs created

24 million people supported

“Starting a digitalization project in an underdeveloped context naturally comes with challenges. It often takes a bit longer than planned. Experience shows, however, that you catch up once the concept falls into place”

Nils Garcia-Grundström, Fundraising & Partnerships manager at Hand in Hand Sweden.
