New at Implema – 2024: As usual, there’s a lot happening at Implema. Here’s a selection of what’s happened since last time.
Implema in the finals for Business System Project of the Year 2023/2024
Implema – and our client StepLock – was one of three finalists for the award “Business System Project of the Year 2023/2024.” For the project where we jointly implemented S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition in two countries (Sweden and Norway) in a record time of 12 weeks (!). The award is presented by HerbertNathan & Co, Scandinavia’s leading independent advisor in business systems, among others. The winner was announced at the ERP Summit 2024 in Stockholm on May 21.
One of the jury members expressed that this year there were three extremely good projects in the final. The competition was therefore fierce, and we are truly proud of our finalist position.

The first Meets of the year took place in Malmö on May 16
Implema is our local events around the country. We gather customers, partners, and other Implema friends for an afternoon of news, knowledge, inspiration, and an opportunity to exchange experiences. Followed by an after-work with food and drinks. This time too, it was a very successful event judging by the evaluation and the atmosphere in the room. With good conversations, curious and informed questions, and some laughter.
The customer case from Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies sparked great interest, where Paulius Pakalniskis, Global Head of ERP & Enterprise Services, and Venkata Suresh Bandaru, Global Lead SAP Technology, Security & Compliance generously shared the SAP journey we have undertaken together. They emphasized TIME as crucial and constantly challenge themselves and us, all to increase the pace of their expansion. There was also an informative session on AI and business benefits, our new service Quick Closings, and how to best get the business more involved in the development of the business system, held by our CEO Jörgen Aronsson together with Ann Karblom.
Remaining Implema Meets 2024 – the date for Gothenburg has changed
As we previously mentioned, we are conducting four Implema Meets during 2024. Three remain now and they will be held in the following locations. However, we have had to move the previously announced date for Implema Meets in Gothenburg, which is now moved to the other side of the new year.

Webinar with Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies
On May 24, we held a live webinar with our client, the life science company Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, who talked about their cloud migration to RISE with SAP Cloud Private Edition – an important step to scale up and future-proof themselves. They discussed why they decided to move parts of the business system to the cloud, how they did it, what needed to be considered, and the results they achieved. Did you miss it? Implema at SAPSA IMPULS
It was incredibly fun to meet so many SAP users, both existing customers and others, at SAPSA IMPULS in Gothenburg at the end of April! It was also extra fun that our two seminars were so well attended; both our customer case that WirelessCar’s CFO Carl-Fredrik Rindebro commendably shared about the company’s journey to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, and that our colleagues Jesper and Marcus got the opportunity to talk about AI in practice and one of Implema’s self-developed AI products KLAS.
Richard Nagel visiting Implema’s SAP kickoff
Implema’s annual SAP conference received a “distinguished guest” in Richard Nagel, SAP S/4HANA expert/Blackbelt, who flew in from the Netherlands. Richard, who is a truly big name in SAP circles, held both an inspirational session focusing on SAP Cloud and a Master Class with more in-depth knowledge and insights on the same topic – all to offer our SAP customers real value.
Daniel Falk appointed Deputy CEO at Implema
Implema has appointed Daniel Falk, until recently Business Area Manager for Business Solutions and Advisory. The role is newly established and aims to further strengthen the organization and readiness for upcoming growth and increased focus on existing commitments.
