At Implema, it’s not uncommon for former colleagues to choose to return to us. After being away and gaining new experiences elsewhere. We call them rejoiners. One such person is Minja Lendahl . Who, after a stint at an investment company, is now back at Implema as a consulting manager and project leader for SAP.
Minja has a degree in business administration from Uppsala University and started at Implema in 2018. As a participant in our trainee program. She chose to focus on the SAP business system as a finance consultant from the start. Since then, her journey has been marked by rapid development. Minja describes how she was given significant responsibility early on while learning a great deal. She also mentions that it was fun – both the actual work and the client projects she participated in, as well as all the internal activities.
Tested life as an investment controller
After four years as a consultant, Minja’s curiosity was sparked about what it would be like to work on the business side. This curiosity led her to a role as an investment controller at an investment company. Minja describes her time there as very educational – an experience that gave her new perspectives and valuable knowledge to take forward in her career. She worked with acquisition processes and collaborated with the business to develop customized financial analyses and follow-ups. This provided both the opportunity to work “hands-on” while gaining the deeper knowledge she wanted. Additionally, she gained an even better overall understanding of financial processes.
A company in constant development
When a new opportunity opened up again at Implema, it felt like a very exciting challenge to take on:
– Sure, for a brief moment I wondered if it was a good idea. To go back to something you once left. But then when I saw everything that was happening at Implema. All the exciting projects and new clients, the decision was easy. This is going to be fun, I thought. Plus, I’m coming back to a completely new role, as a consulting manager and project leader within SAP, which is really exciting, says Minja.
The opportunity for development is something Minja values. Both her own development and being at a company that strives for constant development. She adds:
– Even though I’ve been away from Implema for 1.5 years, it almost feels like coming back to a different company. Just as good as before, but a lot has happened in that short time. That’s typical of Implema – you’re always developing, which suits me perfectly.
“Always fun to come to the office”
Another thing Minja values about Implema is “the social aspect” – the company culture.
– Here at Implema, it always feels fun to come into the office. The company culture at Implema is really wonderful – it both encourages development while being very collegial and pleasant – and fun!
She also emphasizes that the responsiveness to employees is another thing she appreciates. That Implema listens to its employees and cares about their well-being and satisfaction.
Returns with tons of new experiences
Now she returns to Implema with tons of new experiences, knowledge, and insights. She says herself that she has grown from trying something different. But now looks forward to developing in her new role at Implema.
– I’ve received a very warm welcome back! Now I look forward to keeping up with everything new at Implema and being part of developing new initiatives. The runway is short and I’m very happy to be back!
