Implema is launching a career transition program. Upskill is a training program aimed at people who have been established in the labor market for some years, have relevant experience, but are motivated to do something else. For example, they may have been a superuser or advanced user in a business system, or worked as an application consultant in a system other than SAP or Dynamics365.
– There is a shortage of skills in the IT industry, and Upskill is one of several initiatives to secure skills going forward. There are many people with relevant experience who want to do something else. We give participants an opportunity for further development and career change, while they bring a lot of new knowledge and skills from different areas to Implema. We have a long experience of implementing training programs, so this was a natural step, says Kei Buhre, CHRO at Implema.
For two months, participants undergo very intensive education and training, with both theoretical and practical elements. They supplement their existing work experience and skills by actively acquiring the knowledge and tools required to become independent business system consultants. The trainers not only focus on the systems and the consultant role but also place great emphasis on teaching participants the Implema Way – the company’s unique methodology and mindset for fast and successful implementations. Participants specialize in either finance and accounting processes or logistics processes, depending on previous experience.
The program starts on March 4. The participants come from different places in the country, but they will gather at Implema’s office in Stockholm for a kick-off.
– We are very happy to welcome more new colleagues to Implema. We look forward to them being in place soon, and it will be fun to get to know them better! And we wish them the best of luck with their training to become business system consultants, concludes Kei Buhre.
