A Strategic ERP Partnership
As Avensia continued to expand, the need for unified operations across its global subsidiaries became increasingly clear. The organization had outgrown its existing ways of working—spread across multiple legacy systems and inconsistent financial workflows. A modern ERP solution was necessary to support a truly global business.
Among a shortlist of potential vendors, Implema stood out. What resonated with Avensia was Implema’s methodology: fast, efficient ERP implementations based on standard processes with minimal customizations—a perfect fit for Avensia’s own agile and pragmatic approach.
They chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 for its power, scalability, and user-friendly interface. Using the Swedish business unit as a blueprint, a global Finance & Operations template was developed and then gradually rolled out to the other companies around the world. With the new ERP system in place, Avensia can now plan and track activities globally, streamline operations, and gain better visibility across the group. Implementation of the Project Operations and HR modules is next on the roadmap.
A Digital Project Born in a Pandemic
The entire project was carried out virtually—consultants from Implema only visited the Lund office a handful of times, the first visit occurring several months into the implementation.
