The group&#8217;s breadth and geographical spread make the closing process extensive\u2014and dependent on clear structure and well-functioning workflows. <br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-behovet-av-en-sammanhallen-bokslutsprocess\"><strong>The need for a cohesive closing process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Despite a shared SAP platform, OEM&#8217;s companies work with their own Excel lists in the closing process. This creates variation between the companies and limits the possibilities for a unified overview. Accounting manager Sofia St\u00e5hl describes it as everyone doing what they should, but the overview is missing.  <br\/><br\/>When Implema developed <em>Smart Closings<\/em>, they identified OEM as an organization with the complexity, willingness, and conditions to test a new, digital approach. OEM saw the opportunity to create a more structured and coordinated closing flow. <br\/><br\/><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-losningen\"><strong>The solution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Smart Closings is available for both SAP and Dynamics customers. For SAP customers, it is offered in the form of two apps developed in <a href=\"https:\/\/implema.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/S4-Fiori.jpg\">Fiori<\/a>: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>An administration app<\/strong> where the process owner sets up the closing lists, i.e., their &#8220;checklists&#8221; for the closing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A user app<\/strong> that all users use to see status, mark their tasks. Here, work is done in a structured view, where all companies, activities, and statuses can be followed in real-time. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-arbetssattet-nara-samarbete-och-tydlig-process\"><br\/><strong>The approach: close collaboration and clear process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The work to implement Smart Closings was carried out in a small project group with clear agendas, meetings, and ongoing follow-up.
